Tips:

  • Embrace the versatility of taco seasoning: It's not just for tacos! This blend of spices adds a delicious savory flavor to various dishes, including pasta.
  • Don't be afraid to customize: Make the recipe your own by adjusting the ingredients to suit your preferences. Add more or less spice, switch up the type of cheese, or include your favorite taco toppings.
  • Use a large skillet: This will ensure that the pasta has enough room to cook evenly and that you can easily stir in the other ingredients.
  • Cook the pasta al dente: This means cooking it until it is slightly firm to the bite. This will prevent it from becoming mushy when you add it to the skillet.
  • Don't overcrowd the skillet: When adding the cooked pasta to the skillet, do it in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding. This will help the pasta cook evenly.
  • Add the cheese gradually: Stir in the cheese a little at a time, allowing it to melt before adding more. This will help prevent the cheese from clumping.
  • Garnish with your favorites: Before serving, top your taco macaroni skillet with your favorite taco toppings, such as sour cream, salsa, guacamole, or diced tomatoes.
