ULTIMATE INSTANT POT® MASHED POTATOES
These potatoes are unlike any other! The difference with these is that they are pressure-cooked with homemade chicken stock, which gives the potatoes so much flavor, and sometimes eliminates the need for milk or cream and salt! I made this recipe just yesterday for someone who doesn't like mashed potatoes, and they loved it!

ULTIMATE CROCK POT MASHED POTATOES
I found this recipe on the Budget Savvy Diva site and it has been saving me tons of time (and stess) for the past few weeks! And like she said in the blog, the cream cheese makes all the difference. I can't wait to make this for our huge Thanksgiving dinner so I can focus on other recipes.

Steps:
- Peel potatoes and cube. She stated that she likes to get 12 cubes per potato. You can do this if using Russets but not if using Yukons. Each cube should be about 1-1 1/2 inches.
- Place potato cubes, butter and chicken broth into slow cooker and set to High.
- Cover and cook for 4 1/2 hours.
- Mash roughly in crock pot and add garlic, sour cream, salt, pepper, milk, and cream cheese and finish mashing.
ULTIMATE MASHED POTATOES
A self-created comfort food, these mashed potatoes are a little weird, but entirely too good! I will occasionally add sweet corn for a bit of crunch.

Tips:
- Use starchy potatoes: Russet potatoes are the best choice for mashed potatoes because they are high in starch, which makes them fluffy and creamy.
- Peel and cut the potatoes evenly: This will help them cook evenly.
- Boil the potatoes in salted water: The salt will help to flavor the potatoes and prevent them from becoming bland.
- Drain the potatoes thoroughly: This will help to remove excess water and make the potatoes light and fluffy.
- Mash the potatoes with a potato ricer or food mill: This will give them a smooth and creamy texture.
- Add butter, milk, and seasonings to taste: Start with a small amount of butter and milk, and then add more to taste. Season the potatoes with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Serve the mashed potatoes immediately: They are best when served hot and fresh.
Conclusion:
Mashed potatoes are a classic comfort food that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They are easy to make and can be dressed up or down to suit any occasion. Whether you are serving them for a holiday dinner or a weeknight meal, mashed potatoes are sure to be a hit.
