Categories     Salad     Fruit     Side     No-Cook     Kid-Friendly     Healthy

Yield 3 servings

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 T Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Juice of 1-2 Lemons
sea salt and cracked pepper
1/2 pound spinach or butter lettuce
1/2 C crumbled feta

Steps:

  • 1. Wash and toss the greens into a bowl. Squeeze the lemons directly over them, add the oil, salt and pepper. Toss the salad to mix. 2. Sprinkle the feta on top.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, seasonal lemons. Winter lemons are at their peak flavor, so they'll make your salad taste the best.
  • Choose a variety of greens. This will give your salad a more complex flavor and texture.
  • Don't be afraid to add other fruits and vegetables. Berries, apples, and fennel are all great additions to a winter lemon salad.
  • Make a simple dressing. A vinaigrette made with olive oil, lemon juice, honey, and Dijon mustard is a classic choice.
  • Serve immediately. Lemon salad is best when it's fresh, so don't let it sit around for too long before serving.

Conclusion:

Winter lemon salad is a refreshing and flavorful dish that's perfect for a light lunch or dinner. It's also a great way to use up those extra lemons you have on hand. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can make a delicious and healthy salad that the whole family will enjoy.
