Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: The better the ingredients, the better the cookies will taste. This means using real butter, sugar, flour, and eggs.
  • Measure your ingredients accurately: This is important for ensuring that the cookies turn out properly. Use a kitchen scale to measure dry ingredients and a measuring cup for wet ingredients.
  • Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy: This will help to incorporate air into the dough, which will make the cookies light and airy.
  • Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing the dough will make the cookies tough. Mix the dough just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the dough before baking: This will help to prevent the cookies from spreading too much in the oven.
  • Bake the cookies at the correct temperature and for the correct amount of time: This will ensure that the cookies are cooked through but not overcooked.
  • Let the cookies cool completely before storing them: This will help to prevent the cookies from becoming soggy.
