Steps:
- 1. peel and cut apples in thin slices. combine apples, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in bowl and mix well together
- 2. place bottom pie crust in pie pan I bake to a light brown prior to adding apples. Pour apple mixture into pie crust. dot with butter all over the top of apples.
- 3. Place pie crust on top. use egg white and 1/4 tablespoon water mixture to wash the top of the crust . sprinkle w/ white sugar and cinnamon before baking. Bake at 425 for 40 min. edges of crust will burn so you may want to cover edges with aluminum foil or edge fittings.
