This is my mom's recipe. She used to take it anytime there was a big crowd. Always came home with an empty crock!

Time 1h

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 lb ground beef. browned with some onion and drained.
1 pkg (16 oz.) wide egg noodles
1 jar(s) (12 oz) pimento stuffed green olives with the brine
1 can(s) tomato soup
1 can(s) cream of chicken soup
1 can(s) cream of mushroom soup, undiluted

Steps:

  • 1. Brown and drain ground beef and onion in a very large skillet or chicken fryer. Do NOT add salt to this, you will get plenty with the olive brine. While that's browning, make the ENTIRE bag of egg noodles according to directions and drain them.
  • 2. Add all three cans of soup to the beef and stir until well blended. Now add in the whole jar of olives, BRINE INCLUDED.
  • 3. Once that's all mixed together, fold in the cooked noodles and let simmer until the whole thing is hot. Eat with a slice of buttered bread

This recipe was a bit too salty for me. I think I'll reduce the amount of olives next time.

I was a bit skeptical about the green olives, but they added a nice salty and briny flavor to the dish.
