1 cup balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons dried sage, rubbed
1 1/2 teaspoons dried rosemary
1 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a small sauce pan; bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Strain mixture through a sieve into a bowl; discard solids. Serve hot.
