NECTARINE PIE image

Number Of Ingredients 19

Crust
1/3 c. butter
1/3 c. shortening/crisco - creamed together
1 t lemon peel (Plus 1/2 t for cream cheese layer)
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1 1/2 c. flour - sift powdered sugar and flour together
1/2 t. salt (optional)
1/4 t. nutmeg (or mace)
Topping
1 pk 8oz cream cheese
2T sugar
1 t vanilla
1/2 t grated lemon peel
1/4 c sour cream (or whipping cream)
fruit
4 nectarines + rasberries or blueberries and/or strawberries, etc.
glaze
1/2 cup cassis (or cherry flavored liquor)
2 t. corn starch

Steps:

  • Bake crust in 325 degree oven (or 300 degree oven if black pan) for 20-30 min. Cool before filling For Topping soften cream cheese and beat smooth. Beat in sugar, sour cream, lemon peel and vanilla. Spread over cooled crust. Blend together glaze ingredients and cook in microwave for about 2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute, then each 15 - 20 seconds until thick. Cool 5 minutes. Slice fruit and arrange on cream layer. Spoon sauce over fruit.
