Spiced Red Wine Apple Cider (Slow Cooker) image

A great warmer-upper for fall or winter. Most of the alcohol will evaporate during cooking.

3 c dry red wine
5 c apple cider
1/4 c brown sugar
1/2 tsp whole cloves
1/4 tsp whole allspice berries
1 stick cinnamon

Steps:

  • 1. Combine all ingredients in a 4-quart slow cooker.
  • 2. Cover and cook on low 3-4 hours.
  • 3. Remove cloves, allspice and cinnamon stick before serving. Serve hot.
