Sweetie Pie's Green Beans image

From the reality show "Sweetie Pie's" comes another great side dish recipe, homestyle green beans.

Number Of Ingredients 13

BRING TO BOIL
1 1/2 c water
4 Tbsp butter
5 Tbsp chicken stock
ADD & BOIL 10 MIN.
1 1/3 tsp granulated garlic
1 small russet potato, peeled & cubed
REDUCE HEAT. ADD ALL. SIMMER.
6 c green beans, frozen
2 Tbsp onion, chopped
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
4 Tbsp sugar
salt & pepper to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Bring first three ingredients to a boil.
  • 2. Add garlic and potato and boil 10 minutes.
  • 3. Reduce heat. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 10 minutes or until green beans are tender.
