Tuna Noodle Casserole image

This is one of my husbands favorite comfort foods from his childhood that I have adapted to fit our families tastes.

Number Of Ingredients 9

12 oz wide egg noodles
2 can(s) tuna, drained
2 can(s) cream of mushroom
1 can(s) (soup can) heavy cream
4 slice american cheese slices
1 tsp adobo seasoning
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Cook egg noodles as directed adding 1 Tablespoon salt to boiling water. Combine tuna, soup, and sesoning in saucepan; bring to a boil stirring frequently, lower to a simmer and add heavy cream; DO NOT BOIL. Drain noodles mix with soup mixture and cover with cheese slices. Salt and pepper to taste. Place in warm oven until cheese is melted.

This recipe was easy to follow and the casserole turned out delicious! I used a whole wheat pasta and added some peas and carrots for extra flavor.

Not a fan. The casserole was bland and the noodles were mushy. I won't be making this again.
