This is a very simple meal to make. You just throw everything in the crock pot and let it cook during the day. I like to serve this over thin spaghetti (especially garlic and herb thin spaghetti when I can find it).

ACADIA'S CROCK-POT CHICKEN CACCIATORE

Acadia's Crock-Pot Chicken Cacciatore image

This recipe was created with items I had in my pantry. I own and use a 3-quart Crock Pot, but you can adapt this recipe to any size vessel. I serve it with mashed potatoes, but you could use pasta or rice or what have you. I also serve crusty Italian bread with it. Enjoy!

1 carrot (peeled and sliced)
1 orange bell pepper (diced-small)

Tips:

  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce for a little extra heat.
  • Serve the chicken cacciatore over rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes.
  • For a more authentic flavor, use Italian plum tomatoes instead of regular tomatoes.
