Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: The quality of your ingredients will directly impact the taste of your cookies. Be sure to use fresh butter, eggs, and flour, and high-quality chocolate chips.
  • Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy: This will help to create a chewy cookie. Make sure to beat the butter and sugar together for at least 2 minutes, or until the mixture is pale yellow and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition: This will help to prevent the cookies from becoming dry. Be sure to beat the eggs in until they are completely combined.
  • Stir in the dry ingredients gradually: This will help to prevent the cookies from becoming tough. Be sure to mix the dry ingredients in until they are just combined.
  • Chill the dough before baking: This will help to prevent the cookies from spreading too much in the oven. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight.
  • Bake the cookies at a high temperature for a short amount of time: This will help to create a chewy cookie. Bake the cookies at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to brown.
  • Let the cookies cool completely before enjoying: This will help to allow the flavors to develop. Let the cookies cool on a wire rack for at least 15 minutes before transferring them to an airtight container.
