Tips:

  • Use fresh apples: Fresh apples will give your cake the best flavor. If you can, use a variety of apples, such as Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, and Pink Lady.
  • Peel and core your apples: Before you add your apples to the batter, be sure to peel and core them. This will help to prevent the cake from becoming too dense.
  • Grate your apples: Grating your apples will help them to distribute evenly throughout the batter and will also help to prevent them from sinking to the bottom of the cake.
  • Use a bundt pan: A bundt pan is the perfect pan for baking a pound cake. It will give your cake a beautiful shape and will also help to ensure that it cooks evenly.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter can make the cake tough. Be sure to mix the batter just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the cake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean: This is the best way to tell if the cake is done baking.
