Tips:
- Use fresh applesauce: Fresh applesauce gives the cake a more intense apple flavor. If you don't have fresh applesauce, you can use store-bought unsweetened applesauce.
- Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter can make the cake tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
- Bake the cake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean: This will ensure that the cake is cooked through.
- Let the cake cool completely before frosting it: This will help the frosting to set properly.
- Use a creamy peanut butter: Creamy peanut butter will give the frosting a smooth and creamy texture. If you don't have creamy peanut butter, you can use regular peanut butter, but it will be a little bit grittier.
- Add a little bit of salt to the frosting: Salt helps to balance out the sweetness of the frosting.
- Decorate the cake with your favorite toppings: You can use chopped peanuts, chocolate chips, or even a drizzle of caramel sauce.
Conclusion:
Applesauce spice cake with peanut butter frosting is a delicious and easy-to-make cake that is perfect for any occasion. The cake is moist and flavorful, and the frosting is rich and creamy. This cake is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
