AWARD-WINNING SOFT CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

Categories     Chocolate

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 recipe (3 cups and 2 tablespoons) all-purpose flour
1 recipe (1,5 teaspoons) baking soda
1 recipe (1 1/3 cups and 1 tablespoon) butter, softened
1 recipe (1 cup and 1 tablespoon, packed) brown sugar
1 recipe (1/3 cup and 1 teaspoon) white sugar
1 recipe (1,5 packages / 3.4 ounce) instant vanilla pudding mix
1 recipe (3) eggs
1 recipe (1,5 teaspoons) vanilla extract
1 recipe (2,75 cups) semisweet chocolate chips
1 recipe (1 1/3 cups and 1 tablespoon) walnuts, chopped - optional

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Sift together the flour and baking soda, set aside.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Beat in the instant pudding mix until blended. Stir in the eggs and vanilla. Blend in the flour mixture. Finally, stir in the chocolate chips and nuts. Drop cookies by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Edges should be golden brown.

Tips:

  • To achieve perfectly round cookies, use a cookie scoop to portion the dough. This will help ensure that the cookies are uniform in size and shape, and they will bake evenly.
  • Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking. This will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much in the oven.
  • Use high-quality chocolate chips. The better the chocolate, the better the cookies will taste. Look for chocolate chips that are made with real cocoa butter and have a high percentage of cacao.
  • Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing will make the cookies tough and chewy. Mix the dough just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the cookies at the right temperature and for the right amount of time. The ideal temperature for baking chocolate chip cookies is 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set.

Conclusion:

With the right ingredients, a little patience, and a few simple tips, you can make award-winning soft chocolate chip cookies that will delight your family and friends. So next time you're in the mood for a sweet treat, give this recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
