Categories     Fruit     Dessert     Freeze/Chill     Quick & Easy

Yield 8

Number Of Ingredients 8

INGREDIENTS
1 BAKED pie shell
3 med/lg bananas (no speckles! Might not use all, nibble the rest)
8 -12 ounces cream cheese, softened (Can use lower fat version)
1/4 cup sugar (optional -I often leave this out)
1 (12 ounce) container Cool Whip, thawed (I use Fat Free -SO good)
1/2 (21 ounce) can blueberry pie filling (Splurge & get the ones w/ more berries)
Fresh Blueberries (Really adds to the flavor/texture & antioxidants (but screen out any mushy ones)

Steps:

  • DIRECTIONS 1. In large bowl, beat cream cheese & sugar until smooth, fold in Cool Whip. I say 8-12 oz cream cheese, this is entirely at your discretion. 2. Slice the bananas (abt 1/2 " thick slices) 3. Arrange slices all over bottom & sides of pie (cover the shell) 4. Spread carefully over the bananas and smooth. 5. Top with blueberry pie filling & drop fresh blueberries onto the top of filling. 6. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving and Enjoy :) Refrigerate leftovers, use within a couple days. (Bananas get kinda yucky after that) Love to all...

Yield Makes 8 slices

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 graham cracker pie crust
1 banana
1 package banana instant pudding
1 bottle magic shell ice cream topping
1 box vanilla wafer cookies
1 container whipped cream or cool whip

Steps:

  • 1. Empty entire bottle of magic shell into graham pie crust; work magic shell around sides of crust and place in freezer for about 5 minutes. 2. Remove pie crust from freezer and place vanilla wafers on top of the magic shell. (flat side of cookies facing up) 3. Peel banana and cut into thin, round slices; place on top of vanilla wafers. 4. Prepare the banana pudding and pour immediately into pie crust. 5. Place in refrigerater to cool. (20 minutes) 6. Before serving add whipped cream or cool whip with some chocolate shavings. ENJOY!

Tips:

  • For the perfect pie crust, use a combination of butter and shortening. This will create a flaky and tender crust.
  • Chill the pie dough for at least 30 minutes before rolling it out. This will help prevent the dough from becoming too sticky.
  • When rolling out the dough, use a light touch. Don't overwork the dough, or it will become tough.
  • To prevent the pie crust from shrinking, trim the edges of the dough before baking.
  • Bake the pie in a preheated oven. This will help the crust to cook evenly.
  • Let the pie cool for at least 1 hour before serving. This will allow the filling to set and the flavors to develop.

Conclusion:

Banana Dream Pie is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. With its creamy filling, fluffy whipped topping, and crunchy pie crust, this pie is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
