Roast, uncovered, for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until thermometer registers 155 degree F. 5. Remove from oven; cover with foil. Let stand for 15 minutes. (The temperature of the meat will rise 5 degree F.) Makes 8 servings.

Tips:

  • Pork shoulder is the best cut for this recipe. It's a tough cut of meat, but the slow cooking process will make it fall-apart tender.
  • Sear the pork shoulder before roasting it. This will help to develop flavor and caramelize the outside of the meat.
  • Use a good quality mustard. A grainy, Dijon mustard will give the pork the best flavor.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment with different types of maple syrup. A dark, amber maple syrup will give the pork a richer flavor, while a light, golden maple syrup will be more delicate.
  • Serve the pork roast with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, green beans, or roasted vegetables.

Conclusion:

This mustard maple pork roast is an easy and flavorful dish that's perfect for a special occasion or a weeknight meal. The pork is tender and juicy, and the mustard maple glaze is sweet and tangy. Serve it with your favorite sides for a complete meal that your family will love.
