Time 10m

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 1/2 c oatmeal flakes
1/2 c sugar
6-7 Tbsp butter, softened
2-3 Tbsp cocoa powder
1 dash(es) vanilla
1-2 Tbsp nescafe coffee (make a coffee, let it cool!)
1-2 c walnut pieces, finely chopped
1 Tbsp irish whiskey (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. Mix all the ingredients together, except for walnuts. Shape into balls, roll in walnuts, or melted chocolate, or cocoa or whatever you fancy! Chill for about an hour, then eat!!

Tips:

  • Choose the right oats: Not all oats are created equal. For a creamy oatmeal, use old-fashioned rolled oats. These oats are thicker and take longer to cook, but they produce a more satisfying texture. If you're short on time, quick oats or instant oats can be a good option.
  • Use a good liquid-to-oat ratio: The amount of liquid you use will determine the consistency of your oatmeal. For a thick and creamy oatmeal, use a ratio of 1:2 liquid to oats. For a thinner oatmeal, use a ratio of 1:3 liquid to oats.
  • Cook your oatmeal over medium heat: Cooking your oatmeal over medium heat will help to prevent it from sticking to the pot and burning.
  • Stir your oatmeal frequently: Stirring your oatmeal frequently will help to prevent it from clumping and ensure that it cooks evenly.
  • Season your oatmeal to taste: Oatmeal is a blank canvas that can be flavored with a variety of ingredients. Try adding cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, vanilla extract, or maple syrup. You can also top your oatmeal with fresh fruit, nuts, seeds, or yogurt.
