boiling water, to cover
2/3 cup ketchup
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (more or less, to taste)
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon chili powder

  • Cut ribs into easy-to-handle portions and cook in boiling water until tender, about 1 hour. Drain.
  • For sauce: Combine all 5 ingredients together in small bowl.

2 cups baby carrots
1 large onion, coarsely chopped
1 large green bell pepper, cut into 1 inch pieces
1 large red bell pepper, cut into 1 inch pieces
2 teaspoons garlic, minced
2 tablespoons cajun seasoning, divided (or Creole Seasoning)
3 1/2-4 lbs pork ribs (country-style)
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can stewed tomatoes, undrained
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon water
1 tablespoon cornstarch
hot cooked rice

Steps:

  • Combine carrots, onion, bell peppers, garlic, and 2 tsp Cajun or Creole seasoning in slow cooker; mix well.

1-1/2 Tbsp. paprika
