Number Of Ingredients 9

1 cup all purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon coarse kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup (packed) golden brown sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup raisins
3/4 cup pecans, coarsely chopped

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment. Mix first 3 ingredients in bowl. Whisk sugar and butter in large bowl, 1 minute. Whisk in egg and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients, then raisins and nuts. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto sheets. Bake about 12 minutes. Transfer parchment to racks; cool.

3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon clove
1 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups seedless raisins
1 cup chopped walnuts
3 cups sifted confectioners' sugar
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • Sift flour with soda, salt, cinnamon and cloves and set aside.
  • In large bowl, beat shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy.
  • At low speed, beat in flour until well mixed.
  • Stir in raisins and walnuts.
  • Refrigerate dough for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 375°.
  • Lightly grease cookie sheets.
  • Drop batter by rounded teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart onto cookie sheets.
  • Bake 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • Cool partially on wire rack, then glaze tops.
  • For glaze, combine sugar, milk and vanilla until smooth.

1 3/4 c flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
3/4 c orange juice
1/2 tsp grated orange rind (opt.)
7 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 egg
1/2 c raisins
1/2 c nuts (opt.)
1/2 c quick oats (opt.) substitute for nuts or just add with them

Steps:

  • 1. Combine ingredients. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased non stick cookie sheet. Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 375 degrees until lightly brown

1/2 c butter
1 c all purpose flour
3/4 c sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1 c raisins

Steps:

  • 1. In a mixing bowl beat butter with an electric mixer on medium high for about 30 seconds.
  • 2. Add about half of the flour,then the sugar, egg, vanilla, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg. Beat till thoroughly combined.
  • 3. Beat in remaining flour. Stir in the one cup of raisins.
  • 4. Drop by rounded teaspoons 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
