HERB BUTTER FOR STEAK
If you've ever purchased herbs for a recipe and you have some left over, put them to good use by making an herb butter. This recipe uses parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme, because I have them growing in my garden. If your family prefers a different combination, go ahead and substitute what they like. The ratio is 1/2 cup of butter to 1/4 cup minced herbs, so use any herbs you like. Simply place a portion on top of a cooked steak, just like a fancy steakhouse would do.

Tips:
- Choose the right cut of meat: A good steak for safari is one that is thick and juicy, with good marbling. Some good choices include ribeye, strip loin, and tenderloin.
- Marinate the steak: Marinating the steak in a mixture of olive oil, herbs, and spices will help to tenderize it and add flavor.
- Cook the steak over a hot fire: This will help to sear the outside of the steak and keep the juices in.
- Let the steak rest before serving: This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the steak, resulting in a more tender and flavorful steak.
- Serve the steak with your favorite sides: Some good options include mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a simple salad.
Conclusion:
Safari steak is a delicious and easy-to-make meal that is perfect for a special occasion or a weeknight dinner. By following these tips, you can cook a safari steak that is sure to impress your friends and family.
