Tips:
- Prep your slow cooker: Grease the bottom of your slow cooker with cooking spray or a light coating of olive oil to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.
- Layer it right: Assemble the lasagna in layers, starting with a layer of sauce, then noodles, cheese, and fillings. Repeat the layers until you've used up all the ingredients, ending with a final layer of cheese and sauce.
- Don't overcrowd the slow cooker: Make sure there's enough space for the lasagna to cook evenly. If you're using a smaller slow cooker, you may need to reduce the amount of ingredients or cook the lasagna in batches.
- Cook on low and slow: Slow cook the lasagna on low heat for 6-8 hours or on high heat for 3-4 hours. This allows the flavors to meld and the lasagna to cook through evenly without drying out.
- Let it rest before serving: Once the lasagna is cooked, let it rest for 10-15 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to settle and the lasagna to firm up slightly, making it easier to slice and serve.
