Tips:

  • To make the tea sandwiches even more flavorful, use high-quality smoked salmon and wasabi. Look for smoked salmon that is moist and has a delicate smoky flavor. Use fresh wasabi, which has a sharper flavor than prepared wasabi.
  • If you don't have bamboo skewers, you can use toothpicks instead. Just be careful not to pierce the bread all the way through.
  • Serve the tea sandwiches immediately after assembling. This will help to prevent the bread from getting soggy.
  • If you're making the sandwiches ahead of time, wrap them tightly in plastic wrap and store them in the refrigerator for up to 2 hours.
  • For a vegetarian option, replace the smoked salmon with thinly sliced avocado or cucumber.

Conclusion:

Smoked salmon, wasabi, and tea sandwiches are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or lunch. They're perfect for parties or potlucks, and they can be made ahead of time. With a few simple ingredients, you can create a tasty and visually appealing dish that is sure to impress your guests.
