1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

½ cup shredded unsweetened coconut
½ teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • Combine flour, brown sugar and butter in a bowl with a pastry blender or by cutting butter into dry ingredients with two knives until the largest lumps are the size of peas. Pat mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch (2 L) square baking dish. Bake in a preheated 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) oven for 10 minutes. Remove from oven. Lower oven temperature to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). While baking prepare topping.
  • Topping: Stir together brown sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Add eggs, one at a time, stirring until blended. Add corn syrup, walnuts, coconut and vanilla. Pour mixture over Base. Bake until set and golden brown, 20 to 25 minutes.

1 cup butter, cubed
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/3 cup corn syrup
2-1/2 cups chopped walnuts
1 ounce unsweetened chocolate, chopped

  • Line a 9-in. baking pan with foil and grease the foil; set aside., In a large bowl, combine flour and sugar. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.   • Base layer.
  • Measure all base layer ingredients into bowl, crumble together until mealy.

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 cup ground walnuts
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 ounces semisweet chocolate
2 tablespoons heavy cream

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour an 8-inch-square baking pan.
  • Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt together; set aside.

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Line a 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 inch jelly-roll pan with foil, letting it extend above pan at the ends.
  • Grease foil in the pan with oil or margarine.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add all ingredients except the flour, walnuts and raisins. With mixer on medium speed, blend ingredients.
  • Switch mixer to low speed and beat in the flour - just until blended.

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. unsalted butter (1 stick) , melted and cooled
1 egg, separated
1/2 t vanilla
7/8 c. flour
pinch salt
1/4 t. baking powder
12 oz pitted dates, chopped/cut up
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • 350 oven 8" square pan Mix sugar and butter, add egg yolk and vanilla. Sift in dry ingredients. Stir in dates, spread into prepared pan. Beat egg white until stiff, spread on top. Sprinkle on chopped walnuts, pressing into the egg white. bake 25-30 min, until skewer comes out clean. cut into small squares

1 egg, unbeaten
1 c brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 c flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 c chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • 1. Grease an 8" square pan. Stir together the egg, brown sugar and vanilla. Quickly stir in the flour, baking soda and salt. Add walnuts.
  • 2. Spread in pan and bake at 350 for 18-20 minutes.
  • 3. Leave in pan; cut into 2" squares. Makes 16 squares.

1 can (15 oz.) solid pack pumpkin
1 can (12 oz.) evaporated milk (not sweetened condensed)
3 eggs
1 C. sugar
4 t. pumpkin pie spice
1 package (18 oz.) yellow cake mix
3/4 C. butter, melted & cooled
1-1/2 C. chopped walnuts or pecans

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl combine the first five ingredients. Pour into a greased 13 x 9 baking pan. Sprinkle with dry cake mix and drizzle butter over the top of the cake mix. Top with walnuts or pecans. Bake for 1 hour or until a knife inserted in the middle comes out clean. Let cool for 30 minutes. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream. YUMMY !!
