QUICK LEMON ICED TEA - BY THE GLASS

Quick Lemon Iced Tea - by the Glass image

I drink this all the time whenever I don't make a pitcherful. Sometimes it's only me drinking tea and I don't need a lot, so this is fast and perfect. You can sweeten yours however you like- I don't. I also like this much lemon, but you can use a little less if you like a milder lemon taste. I use Luzianne (black) tea, but sometimes I mix one of the tea bags up with an herbal, flavored tea, like blackberry.

Tips for Making the Best Lemon Iced Tea by the Glass:

  • Use high-quality tea. The better the tea, the better the iced tea. Look for loose-leaf teas or tea bags made with whole leaves. Avoid using tea dust or fannings, as they will produce a weak and bitter iced tea.
  • Steep the tea properly. The amount of time you steep the tea will affect the flavor of the iced tea. For a light and refreshing iced tea, steep the tea for 3-4 minutes. For a stronger iced tea, steep the tea for 5-6 minutes.
  • Sweeten the iced tea to taste. Some people like their iced tea sweet, while others prefer it unsweetened. If you are adding sugar or honey, start with a small amount and add more to taste.
  • Add flavorings. You can add a variety of flavorings to your iced tea, such as lemon, mint, or ginger. You can also add fruit juices or slices of fruit.
  • Chill the iced tea before serving. Iced tea is best served cold. You can chill it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or you can make it ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Conclusion:

Lemon iced tea is a refreshing and delicious drink that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be customized to your own taste. With these tips, you can make the best lemon iced tea by the glass. Enjoy!
