Mini Chip Snowball Cookies image

These little puppies will melt in your mouth, they are that good. They were a hit at the Christmas party I took them to last night.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 1/2 c (3 sticks) butter, softened (butter only)
3/4 c powdered sugar
1 Tbsp vanilla extract (yes 1 tablespoon)
1/2 tsp salt
3 c all purpose flour
2 c (12oz) pkg. ghirardeli mini semisweet chocolate chips
powdered sugar, for dusting on top

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375F. Beat butter, sugar, vanilla extract and salt in a large mixer bowl until creamy. Gradually beat in flour; stir in morsels.
  • 2. Shape into 1 1/4 inch balls. Place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until cookies are set and lightly browned. Remove from oven. Sift powdered sugar over hot cookies on baking sheet. Cool on baking sheets for 10 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely. Sprinkle with additional powdered sugar, if desired. Store in airtight containers. 5 dozen cookies
